Workplace mediator, facilitator, and conflict coach.
I have a background in Human Biology (BSc), Education (BEd), and Learning and Technology (MA) with a focus on systems thinking and change theory. My journey in education has included collaborations with the BC Educational Leadership Council, the BC Ministry of Education, and the Premier’s Technology Council. Along the way, I was proud to receive the peer-nominated Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence, which inspired my transition to administration and mediation.
In 2020, I earned a Certificate in Collaborative Conflict Resolution. My approach is informed by individual and organizational learning theory, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) training, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Compassionate Systems Leadership (CSL). I use collaborative, interest-based mediation and research-supported dispute resolution processes to provide personalized client services.
I acknowledge my privilege, which compels me to contribute. The primary drivers of my practice are to help others navigate challenges and reduce suffering.
I treasure life with my loving spouse and our three amazing children who fill each day with joy, excitement, and a myriad of other emotions. Wu Wei, honouring Truth and Reconciliation, and growing my negative capability are journeys I am on that are important to me. I enjoy recreating outdoors, morning tea, and the creative process.
